About the Fabric

Dogon cloth, traditionally used to make mud cloth is spun from cotton, then woven on traditional looms into thin long strips. The strips are then fashioned together to make a larger bolt of fabric. Denisio sources her Dogon cloth ethically and puts her own colorful spin on if by hand painting the fabric with a traditional geometric line pattern in non-traditional hues.
