About the Fabric

Country cloth is a traditional Liberian textile which gets its name due to being manufactured in the villages and the countryside. It is made from homegrown Liberian cotton mainly planted and cultivated by the women. They then transform the cotton into threads for their handmade looms. Dyes are made from leaves, tree skin, indigo and kola nut. It is a durable, long lasting woven cloth.
